Well, it's the 1st Jan and another year unfolds. Our two original chooks have been moulting for the past couple of months and so stopped laying. Our new chooks are still a little young and hopefully will start laying in the spring. Of the two originals, Boo is now looking resplendent in her new finery and today produced the first egg of the year!! Good for her!

Very jealous, none of ours are laying at the moment......
Happy New Year, Di!
On yr previous post...it is not always easy to keep the motivation up, espescially at this time of year. Dark and cold, it kind of sucks up all energy.
I chime in with English Rider, maybe it is the socialising part that is missing?
Can you load up and go for a weekend training somewhere?
Go visit an equestrian friend, someone with overnight accomodation for both you and a horse?
You're both right, it's the doing it mostly alone, lack of motivation and confidence. With 2 young horses, I'm really missing the support of a hands-on regular trainer and my yard mates!!
clever Boo!
