I awoke to a bright day, but it was Cold, very, very cold and the ground was rock solid. I'm now getting to that stage where if spring doesn't come soon I'm really going to get grumpy!!
I could have done something with the horses, but I'm ashamed to say that my enthusiasm was sadly lacking.
We did have a constructive day though, we played with the pups, took them for a long walk down the field and through the wood. They have so much energy! Then I played my sax for a couple of hourse, absolute bliss, lost in the music.
We've been missing the taste of home recently, so this afternoon, I made some crumpets. I made my first batch a week or so ago, and they were ok - they're not as easy as you might think - but this batch look very tasty indeed.

Um, "played your Sax for a couple of hours"....i think you reserved your wind from riding to be able to accomplish THAT! Amazing, lovely!
My salon owner plays the sax. He is really fantastic. He and his wife own the salon, a travel agency, and A cool Wine-bar called "Arrivederci". He get all sorts of live muscians to play there...and he steps in...later in the evening, with his sax! It is so much fun.
The pups sound like a HUGE-O amount of fun to watch...someday, when we have land, that is one of my dreams.
Your day sounds like a rather wonderful one, in my playbook! The horses will be there tomorrow, for your pleasure/attention and energies~

Nothing wrong with changing your routine once in awhile...I think we all could go for your crumpets!
